SMITHFIELD RESIDENCE

This project required us to understand our clients desire to improve the livability of their home, while at the same time, keeping alive the memories that have been made there. The renovation includes work on the second floor, main floor and basement of the house while the building footprint has remained unchanged throughout the design process. The basement renovation includes a bright new bedroom, on the main floor by demolishing the existing partitions an open space has been created that includes dining space, living space, a kitchen and bathroom. The second floor area has been converted into a loft style bedroom with an open bathroom. Existing structural elements have been exposed and are now points of focus against brilliant white walls.
