COLLIERS INTERNATIONAL OFFICE EXPANSION

This Colliers International branch office expansion allowed the firm to increase the square footages of its existing office by expanding into an available neighboring office space. Sputnik worked closely with the Colliers team on the design to merge the two spaces, and were able to provide several sustainable options that facilitated the incorporation and re-use of many of the features and finishes that were already existing within the two spaces.  The existing carpets in the expansion space, for example, were kept, and other matching finishes and details from the existing offices were integrated to tie the old and new spaces together.

The new expansion area includes a small breakout meeting room as well as a large open office space to allow for the addition of new staff and better efficiency of workflow.  Large custom sliding glass doors were added between the old space and the new to create a seamless link between the two areas, and a custom glass entrance was designed for the breakout room to further tie the design together. New electronic height-adjustable desks were added, and power for the new furniture was integrated with an under-carpet raceway.

Sputnik provided full design and administrative services for this project, including Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Document production, and Contract Administration through construction.  Sputnik also coordinated all furniture requirements, created the new furniture layout utilizing the client’s standard specifications, and coordinated the selection, finishes, and order of all new furniture with the client.
